Special Needs Patients
Sometimes dentistry is best performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Stanosheck can treat special needs patients in a hospital setting if required.
Oral Sedation Dentistry
We provide nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, for in-office sedation during some dental procedures. Patients who experience anxiety or trepidation about dentistry may be better served by oral sedation. Dr. Stanosheck can prescribe medication for you to take an hour before your appointment. You’ll be completely relaxed after the medicine takes effect, so a friend or relative should drive you to and from your appointment. We’ll make you comfortable and monitor your vital signs during treatment, and you’ll probably not remember the sights, sounds, or smells of the procedure after the medication’s effects subside. Oral sedation is also a good option for patients who want to undergo lengthy or subsequent procedures in one day.
