Frequently Asked Questions
An essential element of our client relationship includes answering your questions. We want you to fully understand how our office functions, why we recommend particular procedures, and what your treatment plan includes. If you have a question for Dr. Stanosheck, please call our office at your convenience, or you can email him directly here.
Our most frequently asked questions may help you understand more about our practice:
Will my treatment hurt?
Dental innovations have improved the quality and longevity of treatments, and they have also reduced the pain associated with dentistry. For instance, patients who become anxious and worried about dental visits can opt for oral sedation to calm their minds and bodies. New methods for removing decay, such as Waterlase and electric handpieces, offer less sound, no vibration, and they are so gentle that patients rarely need anesthetic. What do my insurance benefits cover?
As your dental care provider our primary goal is your optimal oral health. We base our treatment plans solely on what we honestly believe are the best solutions for your health. If you have insurance, our finance office will work to ensure that you receive the most from your plan. We’ll be happy to estimate your co-payment and file your insurance paperwork. The best way to approach dental insurance is to understand that it is most often a supplemental program and coverage may not include all procedures. For information about deferred, no-interest finance solutions, read our Financial Information page.
Please be prepared to pay your estimated co-payment at the time treatment is rendered. Our benefit estimates are subject to approval by your provider, so your balance may change after your insurance company reviews the paperwork.
How long will treatment take?
The amount of time you’ll need to schedule for dental work will vary depending on your course of treatment. However, our cutting-edge procedures and technology offer decreased treatment and recovery times than past dental methods. We don’t rush through our appointments. In fact, we usually see fewer than ten patients a day. This allows us ample time to serve you promptly with the focus and attention you deserve. We’ll have time to talk with you about the length of recommended treatments so you can determine how to fit your dental care into your busy schedule.
How does Dr. Stanosheck keep abreast of the latest dental technologies and techniques?
Each year, Dr. Stanosheck attends the premier postgraduate dental training institution in the nation, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. During his bi-annual training sessions at LVI, Dr. Stanosheck studies the latest techniques in aesthetic, neuromuscular, and comprehensive dentistry. He also learns about state-of-the-art technology such as those we’ve incorporated into our office. Dr. Stanosheck is a vested member of the dental community as he is associated with many dental organizations and on faculty at Creighton University.
What does your practice offer to help me relax?
You will enjoy personalized, pampering care from the moment you call our office. Dr. Stanosheck and our staff will take time to learn how you feel about dentistry. For many patients, our complimentary refreshments, Internet access, and scented hot towels make them comfortable and relaxed. Others listen to XM radio or DVDs during procedures to take their minds off of treatment. For patients with severe anxiety, we can prescribe oral sedation. We pride ourselves on pampering patients, so if you have a special request, please tell our front desk attendant and we’ll be happy to help you.
If I have a dental emergency, what should I do?
